چکیده
queous film-coating processes can influence many quality aspects of the final coated product, including coated-tablet moisture content, surface roughness, gloss, coating efficiency, and coating uniformity. Colorcon’s aqueous tablet-coating formulations must be capable of meeting these and other customer requirements in different application environments around the world using various types of coating process equipment. Many different tablet coating machines are on the market, each with different configuration options and different controllable process parameters. Further, different configuration options can be non-numeric. For example, some machines can be configured with one or more spray guns. This situation can result in discontinuous effects on coatedproduct quality and performance. One critical consequence is that it is not possible to define one process operating specification that is optimal for all coating conditions. The wide range of coating conditions (operating parameters, equipment, and configuration options) also has a profound consequence in terms of the development of robust coating formulations. Such a robust formulation is one that is insensitive to “normal” coating process variation. The first level of normal variation is the operating tolerances of the controllable process parameters. However, normal variation should be extended to include the likely range of uncontrollable environmental factors known to affect product Stuart C. Porter, PhD, is vice-president, and Charles R. The Long Run Impact of Technology Diffusion on Average Cost in Upstream Oil Industry; Case Stud of Iran
Literature review related to nonrenewable resources shows that technological improvements have considerable effects on resource depletion and decreasing operational cost. Therefore it is assumed that technology is the most important and influential variables in the production function and utilization cost of these resources. In this study, we assess the long term effect of technology diffusion...
متن کاملModeling thermodynamic properties of electrolytes: Inclusion of the mean spherical approximation (MSA) in the simplified SAFT equation of state
In this work, an equation of state has been utilized for thermodynamic modeling of aqueous electrolyte solutions. The proposed equation of state is a combination of simplified statistical associating fluid theory (SAFT) equation of state (similar to simplified PC-SAFT) to describe the effect of short-range interactions and mean spherical approximation (MSA) term to describe the effect of long-r...

Due to drought and climate change, estimation and prediction of rainfall is quite important in various areas all over the world. In this study, a novel artificial intelligence (AI) technique (WGEP) was developed to model long-term rainfall (67 years period) in Anzali city for the first time. This model was combined using Wavelet Transform (WT) and Gene Expression Programming (GEP) model. Firstl...

Varying coefficient Models are among the most important tools for discovering the dynamic patterns when a fixed pattern does not fit adequately well on the data, due to existing diverse temporal or local patterns. These models are natural extensions of classical parametric models that have achieved great popularity in data analysis with good interpretability. The high flexibility and interpretab...
متن کاملA Chance Constrained Integer Programming Model for Open Pit Long-Term Production Planning
The mine production planning defines a sequence of block extraction to obtain the highest NPV under a number of constraints. Mathematical programming has become a widespread approach to optimize production planning, for open pit mines since the 1960s. However, the previous and existing models are found to be limited in their ability to explicitly incorporate the ore grade uncertainty into the p...
متن کاملA Nonextensive Electrolyte UNIQUAC Model for Prediction of Mean Activity Coefficients of Binary Electrolyte Solutions
In this work, an electrolyte-UNIQUAC model was developed by replacement of Boltzmann weight binary interaction parameters by the nonextensive Tsallis weight. A summation of the long-range electrostatic term (Debye-Huckel equation) and a short-range interaction term were considered in the calculation of thermodynamic properties. A framework proposed by Chen and co-workers was employed for the de...
